NIHR has launched a new Senior Research Leader Programme for 15 nurses and midwives to increase their research capacity and capability and support their development as future research leaders. The programme hopes to build on the success of the NIHR’s previous 70@70 programme – a three-year initiative which worked to strengthen the research voice of nurses and midwives which concluded in March this year.
It will fund senior researchers to be seconded for 3 years at 0.4 whole time equivalent within a health or social care setting. In order to apply you will need to be an established research leader who has led initiatives and developed strategies designed to promote a research active culture through empowering other nurses and midwives to support, lead and deliver research.
Applications are now open and close at 1pm on the 24th of October with the programme beginning in April 2023 and run until March 2026.
To find out more, webinars are taking place on the 23rd of September and 5th of October (email nursingandmidwifery@nihr.ac.uk to register) or read more here.
