During the recent EuroPCR 22 conference in Paris, the results from the ARCH trial showed substantial benefits to patients who were given a potassium ferrate hemostatic patch instead of a conventional dressing following radial PCI. The BHF CRC’s clinical lead, Prof Rod Stables was a senior investigator in the trial and noted that while he’d expected to see a benefit with the patch over standard dressings plus compression, he was “shocked” by the magnitude of the difference, saying that the results have the potential to be practice-changing for his hospital and others. Read more about the results from this exciting trial and implications for better and more cost effective patient care.
