Being part of clinical research is not just for clinicians or researchers – a successful clinical trial needs a diverse team, including patients, families and services users. At the BHF CRC, we see patients as ‘partners’ in research and want to include them from the very start of the research process.
The National Clinical Research Database is a unique tool that has been developed to link clinicians and academics with patients and family members to encourage wider participation in research.
By registering with the database you will have a chance to express your research interests, skills and expertise. We may be able to link you up to research projects in your areas of interest. This means that you will be able to make a contribution to the development, conduct and reporting of clinical research – not as a patient or subject in the research, but as part of the wider team developing and delivering the project.
Register today to make a real difference to the future of cardiovascular clinical research in the UK and globally!
